Responsibilities
Provide advanced technical design and engineering role within the MNIT DPS Operations Support Team in the transformation of MNIT Services cloud environments
Develop and transform the way we deliver and upgrade MNIT's cloud environments with upgraded tools, automation, and techniques based on technology best practices and the most up to date security standards
Analyze, assess, design and implement the next evolution of the cloud environment
Assist DPS in reviewing current Cloud hosting and potentially migrating to Microsoft Azure Cloud environment for some or all of the DPS services currently hosted in AWS
Qualification
Required
This position requires a minimum of four (4) years of experience with Linux/Unix/Windows server operating systems, network, and cloud computing technologies
Experience must include: Windows Server Operating System administration including versions 2016-2022
AWS, Azure, and GCP Cloud administration
Supporting business applications with cloud services (Saas, PaaS, laaS)
Strong understanding of IT industry best practices and security standards
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a manner that facilitates mutual understanding
Customer-focused approach grounded in active listening, empathy, and solution-oriented problem-solving to deliver positive user experiences
Education in Information Technology (IT) or an IT related field may substitute for experience as follows: a master's degree for eighteen (18) months of experience; a bachelor's degree for one (1) year; and an associate's degree for six (6) months
Preferred
Managing Windows Servers hosted in the cloud via cloud interfaces
Managing infrastructure as code (IaC)
Migrating servers from on-prem to cloud
Migrating servers from one Cloud vendor to another
Setting up networks and security access in the cloud
Configuring application and network load balancers in the cloud
Advanced scripting with PowerShell
