Responsibilities
Provide expert guidance on DoD procurement policies, procedures, and regulations to internal teams and external partners
Develop, review, and negotiate contracts, solicitations, and procurement documents in accordance with federal acquisition standards
Support the planning and execution of procurement strategies for defense projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and assess their capabilities in meeting defense requirements
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to defense procurement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, finance, and technical departments, to facilitate procurement activities
Maintain accurate documentation and records of procurement actions for audit and reporting purposes
Stay current on changes in defense procurement regulations and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in DoD procurement, contracting, or acquisition
Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other relevant regulations
Proven ability to develop and negotiate complex contracts and solicitations
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred
Advanced certifications such as CFCM or CPCM
Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one is highly desirable
