Responsibilities
Supervise AR and AP Specialists, set priorities, and review work
Maintain accurate general ledgers and prepare journal entries (accruals, reclasses, adjustments)
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
Complete month-end close tasks and prepare financial statement workpapers
Manage balance sheet schedules (fixed assets, deposits, advances, intercompany balances)
Oversee AR and AP processes:
Validate entries, coding, and GL classifications
Monitor AR aging and escalate collection issues
Review credit applications and customer account reconciliations
Ensure timely posting of payments and deposits
Validate Salesforce-to-SAGE sync and rebate calculations
Review vendor statements, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor cash flow
Handle corporate credit card imports, bank transfers, and daily bank activity
Validate sales tax filings and resolve discrepancies
Ensure proper three-way match for vendor payments
Review commissions and incentive calculations for accuracy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
2–4 years of accounting experience (GL, reconciliations, journal entries)
Strong accounting experience
Leadership skills
Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, structured formulas)
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Ability to manage, prioritize, and delegate effectively
Preferred
Inventory experience is a plus!
