Responsibilities
Receive work instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to perform scheduled, emergency, routine repairs, calibrations, and preventative maintenance
Interpret drawings and sketches to determine the best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems
Repair, rebuild, and test electrical components to ensure equipment is operational swiftly and efficiently
Troubleshoot electrical systems using ladder logic, electrical prints, and schematics, with knowledge of 3-phase electricity
Diagnose problems and failures to repair a variety of equipment, including presses and machines
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the ongoing functioning of required tools and equipment
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure their availability in safe operating condition
Understand mechanical and hydraulic press systems and programmable controls
Read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair
Qualification
Required
Five years of experience in an industrial plant or manufacturing environment
Ability to use computer-based software to complete job tasks
Experience troubleshooting and modifying PLC-based equipment
Proficiency with AC and DC motors, transformers, circuit breakers, electronic controls, and control panels
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
Proper use of tools and measuring devices with a safe work mentality
High School Diploma
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an industrial electrician in heavy industrial facilities
Journeyman electrician
