Responsibilities
Manage daily bookkeeping transactions using accounting, ERP, and financial systems
Process accounts payable and receivable accurately and on schedule
Ensure vendor invoices are reviewed, paid promptly, and reconciled as needed
Maintain payroll records by and entering employee timekeeping data
Prepare and submit payroll accurately and on time
Prepare payroll and financial reports, including earnings, taxes, deductions, and
Complete month-end and year-end financial close activities
Assist with routine accounting functions and scheduled reporting
Research and recommend an annual payment calendar
Assist in developing and maintaining loan package documentation
Ensure payroll, tax, insurance, and employment-related reports are filed with required government agencies
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial, employee, and proprietary information
Qualification
Required
Proven office or administrative experience required
Required experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining data integrity
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Ability to learn or use QuickBooks and AgVero (Microsoft Navision)
Preferred
Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (preferred)
Payroll processing experience preferred
Inventory control experience preferred
Some farm operations experience or agricultural knowledge is a plus
