Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently
Perform monthly budget versus actual reporting to monitor financial performance
Handle journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision
Assist in preparing corporate tax returns and sales tax filings
Use QuickBooks Online to manage and track financial data
Support grant management processes, including government and corporate pledges
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of accounting tasks
Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial processes
Occasionally work on-site to oversee specific accounting activities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software
Solid understanding of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation
Experience with journal entries and general ledger maintenance
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility for increased workload during peak periods
Familiarity with non-profit financial operations and grant management
Excellent communication and organizational skills
