Responsibilities
Lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team, providing guidance, coaching and performance feedback to ensure a high level of professionalism and timely issue resolution
Oversee daily operations, including server hardware/software, network and cloud-based systems
Architect, implement, and maintain virtualized servers in co-location data centers and private cloud
Manage SD-WAN, IPsec/BGP tunneling and Microsoft 365 tenant administration
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to align infrastructure with organizational goals
Oversee incident, request, problem and change management processes, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication with involved parties and end users
Identify and implement process improvements and optimizations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT Infrastructure team with strong documentation and change management discipline
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits to the IT infrastructure environment
Develop and maintain procedures, workflows and documentation to ensure efficient and consistent support processes
Handle escalated issues and complex technical issues, providing guidance and support to other IT teams
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing and continuous learning
Provide hands-on technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for a wide range of IT systems, hardware and software
Lead in planning and implementing IT projects, including upgrades, migrations and deployments while ensuring minimal disruption to services
Support onboarding/offboarding utilizing existing technologies and possible future implementation of orchestration technologies
Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Monitor and support the execution of IT operational policies, procedures and standards to ensure compliance and mitigate risks
Manage vendor relationships ensuring service level agreements are met and maximizing value for the company
Implement and enforce security measures and policies to protect the company against internal and external cybersecurity threats
Develop and maintain disaster recovery/business continuity plans
Monitor infrastructure and implement proactive measures to identify and resolve vulnerabilities and performance issues
Qualification
Required
10+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure
Experience managing a system administrator and external vendors
Strong technical expertise in IT systems
Excellent communication skills
Proactive approach to issue escalation and resolution
Ability to lead and manage the IT Infrastructure team
Experience overseeing daily operations including server hardware/software, network and cloud-based systems
Ability to architect, implement, and maintain virtualized servers
Experience managing SD-WAN, IPsec/BGP tunneling and Microsoft 365 tenant administration
Ability to collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders
Experience overseeing incident, request, problem and change management processes
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Experience developing and maintaining procedures, workflows and documentation
Ability to handle escalated issues and complex technical issues
Experience providing hands-on technical support for IT systems
Experience leading IT projects including upgrades, migrations and deployments
Ability to maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
Experience monitoring and supporting IT operational policies and procedures
Experience managing vendor relationships
Ability to implement and enforce security measures and policies
Experience developing and maintaining disaster recovery/business continuity plans
Ability to monitor infrastructure and implement proactive measures
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
Ability to perform tasks safely and meet established procedures and productivity standards
Ability to travel approximately up to 25%
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Must pass criminal background check
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred
Minimum of 10 years' experience of IT infrastructure experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Proven experience in supervising IT personnel in a complex IT environment
Strong technical knowledge across multiple IT domains including network infrastructure, operating systems, hardware and software applications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
Proven strong business acumen
