Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst
Master's Transportation is a fast-growing, innovative transportation company seeking a dynamic Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst. The role involves analyzing complex financial information, modeling scenarios, and producing reports to support strategic finance and operational goals, particularly in vehicle manufacturing and sales.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain financial models for business units, projects and products for business units, projects and products → focused on unit economics, manufacturing cost structures, product-line profitability, and forecasting vehicle sales volume
Prepare accurate and timely reports to identify financial and operational trends or variances : including COGS trends, labor and overhead allocations, production variances, and sales performance metrics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information for financial analysis including manufacturing, procurement, operations, and sales to gather and validate data related to production cycles, inventory levels, warranty performance, and sales pipelines
Present analysis results and recommendations succinctly and clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders
Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting
Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed
Assist in the evaluation of potential investments and growth opportunities
Continuously stay curious… → Identify opportunities to streamline production cost reporting, improve inventory visibility, and enhance financial processes that support manufacturing and sales operations
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans, including unit build forecasts, demand planning for sales, and capital expenditure planning for manufacturing equipment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
1–3 years of experience in FP&A, cost analysis, manufacturing finance, automotive industry finance, or a closely related role
Proficiency in financial modeling, AI, Excel, and financial analysis software
Understanding of manufacturing cost accounting (COGS, labor allocation, overhead)
Awareness of automotive or vehicle manufacturing environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional presentation skills
Preferred
Experience with ERP systems supporting manufacturing or inventory-based operations
Experience with budgeting and forecasting software tools
Experience with SAGE Intacct or similar ERP platforms used in manufacturing or dealership operations
