Solutions Project Engineering Manager

The Solutions Project Engineering Manager leads the technical design and delivery of customer solutions, translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions while overseeing a team of engineers.

Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of mechanical engineers and collaborate with Controls Engineers to design new automated solutions
Collaborate with design teams to create mechanical designs and specifications for products, processes, or systems
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Review and approve engineering calculations, designs, and documentation while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and advancements and incorporate them into company strategy
Provide technical guidance and support to other departments as needed
Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members
Engage with clients and stakeholders to discuss project progress, gather requirements, and address concerns
This job may require up to 25% travel
Qualification
Required
Bachelors' degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration
Experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and management
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in 3D design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Pro/Engineer
Ability to think critically and solve complex problems
Demonstrated ability to manage and meet project timelines and budgets
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing 40+ pounds
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, including throughout full work shifts
Ability to follow safety procedures, wear required personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean and organized work area
Reliable attendance and punctuality, including flexibility to work extended hours, overtime, or varying shifts when required
