Responsibilities

Perform preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance on building systems and equipment both internal and external
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and safety systems
Complete work orders and perform daily shift reports accurately and in a timely manner, documenting all work performed
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify and address maintenance needs
Respond promptly to guest and associate requests and emergency situations
Support the preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety procedures
Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures, including proper uniform attire, key control and OSHA standards and procedures
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
Coordinate with other departments to minimize operational and guest impact
Follow all local, state, and federal safety and regulatory requirements
Perform all other related duties and special projects as requested

Required

2–5 years of building maintenance or engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Working knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain the following: HVAC and refrigeration, Electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, Plumbing systems and drains, Building structure, fixtures, and finishes (FF&E), Fire alarm, life safety, and commercial kitchen equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
Basic computer skills, including work order systems and email
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, grasp, twist and stretch
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and safety instructions
Professional appearance and customer-service mindset
Must be available to work 2nd shift, weekends and holidays

Preferred

Technical school or associate degree preferred
Hotel or resort maintenance experience preferred
