Marketing & Communications Coordinator
Spokane International Airport is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator who will support various marketing and communications functions. The role focuses on digital content creation, visual storytelling, and event coordination to enhance the Airport's marketing and community engagement efforts.

Responsibilities
Produce and design graphics for both digital and print materials, including flyers, billboards, brochures, web content, digital ads, and social media graphics
Write and edit materials for diverse channels and audiences, including social media posts, website posts, and media briefs
Respond to social media posts and answers requests for information. Advises supervisor and other departments of concerns and questions brought by the public
Identify, recommend and develop marketing tactics to support Airport’s communications needs and goals
Coordinate and facilitate outreach efforts, including educational tours and external community engagement opportunities
Support the planning and implementation of events ranging from large-scale community events to smaller in-terminal activities
Track, analyze, and provide reports on performance metrics for various communications channels
Anticipate and meet the needs of internal and external customers. Work collaboratively with other Airport departments, external stakeholders, and community partners on projects, events, and communication needs
Positively represent the Airport various community events, networking opportunities, and industry conferences
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
1-3 years of related marketing, communications and/or customer relations experience
Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, or related field
A combination of education and experience may be considered in meeting the minimum requirements for this position
Valid driver license, free of serious or frequent traffic violations
Present in a professional manner and with excellent interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain good working relationships with others
Deliver excellent internal and external customer service
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Be a self-starter and able to work independently and with a team. Work as a contributing, collaborative member of a team
Able to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines and changing priorities
Deep curiosity, eager to learn & grow, and ability to thrive in an agile team environment
Prioritize a variety of tasks with little supervision and use good judgment
High level of organization and time management skills while balancing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Able to quickly learn and retain concepts that may be unfamiliar

Knowledge of website design and content management
Knowledge of social media platform development and management
Knowledge of basic photography and design principles
Knowledge of design and editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Photoshop and Canva
Be of good moral character and able to adhere to professional ethical standards of conduct as a public employee working in the public administration and operation of airports
Subject to a ten (10) year background check for security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain an Airport security badge as a condition of employment
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 30 pounds
Job functions require sitting for extended periods; standing and walking frequently; and occasionally stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, carrying, and reaching
Extensive wrist and hand movements required for frequent keyboarding and use of office equipment
Ability to perform close work to read and use computer required
Ability to continuously exchange information through listening and talking with customers, coworkers, representatives of community organizations and other individuals required
Ability to be mobile community wide for appropriate business needs required
Preferred
Previous public-sector, customer relations and/or airport experience will be helpful
