Start in 2026 SummerHarlan Electric Company provides an opportunity for students to gain education in the electrical utility construction industry through a hands-on internship program. The intern will gain experience in project management, estimation tasks, and administration duties while participating in a structured learning environment.

Responsibilities
Gain knowledge and experience in Project Manager related tasks including: drawings/documents printing, customer documents, updates to projects schedules, invoicing, materials tracking, and using E1/Intellichief for data entry
Gain knowledge and experience in Estimator related tasks including: printing and organizing documents, meeting minutes taking, takeoffs, RFP reviews and bid sheet updates
Assist in Administration related duties including: ordering/stocking supplies and file organization
Participation in the Lunch & Learn internship program provided by the MYR Group Internship Leadership team
Prior to the end of their internship, the intern will create and present a self-reflection project detailing their gained industry knowledge, future career goals, as well as personal and professional growth. The presentation will be provided in PowerPoint and presented to their direct management team
Qualification
Required
College sophomore or above working towards a related undergraduate degree or be currently enrolled in or attending trade school
If you are a recent graduate, you must be within 1 year of your graduation date
No experience required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prepare and give presentations
Organized and detail oriented
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
Intern must be located in Pennsylvania and in commutable distance to listed office for the duration of this internship
