Forensic Scientist II, Screener

Responsibilities
Operation and maintenance of the Screening Instrument and initial review of data
Perform moderate and high complexity testing
Operate, calibrate, and maintain analyzers
Troubleshoot issues with screening instruments
Knowledge of nomenclature and assay cutoffs
Knowledge of screening methods
Adherence to all security procedures for ensuring confidentiality of donor information
Adherence to all established guidelines outlined in the Employee Handbook
Qualification
Required
BS degree in science or equivalent related field
1-3 years' experience
Detail oriented
Multitasking
Good documentation practices
Preferred
Advanced ability to understand analytical techniques and procedures
Advanced ability to understand laboratory instrumentation
Advanced ability to understand certification requirements for SAMSHA, CAP-PUDT, and other relevant regulatory bodies
Basic ability to understand the function of a Laboratory Information System (LIS) and other laboratory computer systems
Basic understanding of drugs that are tested
