Fleet HR Coordinator

They are seeking a Fleet HR Coordinator to support their Cruise Retail Division by managing the full crew relations lifecycle for shipboard teams and ensuring strong crew engagement and compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary shoreside HR contact for shipboard retail teams
Manage relations matters including conflict resolution, mediation, and sensitive personnel issues
Conduct and document internal investigations in partnership with leadership and Legal as needed
Provide guidance to managers on performance concerns, coaching, disciplinary actions, and corrective plans
Support crisis management situations affecting crew welfare or onboard operations
Assist with developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies specific to shipboard operations
Ensure compliance with Diamonds International standards, cruise-line policies, and maritime employment requirements (MLC standards)
Maintain accurate documentation and confidential personnel records
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new shipboard hires in collaboration with Recruiting and Operations
Support training and development initiatives to strengthen leadership capability and onboard culture
Manage terminations, resignations, and repatriation processes in partnership with cruise-line HR teams
Ensure smooth handoff between recruiting, operations, and shipboard leadership
Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture across the fleet
Act as a sounding board for crew members and managers
Support engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts
Serve as the primary HR interface between Diamonds International and cruise-line partners
Participate in discussions related to crew conduct, investigations, compliance matters, and disciplinary actions
Maintain strong working relationships with onboard HR teams and corporate cruise-line contacts

Required

1–3 years of Human Resources experience with a strong emphasis on employee relation, onboarding and offboarding, and training and development
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (or general degree + HR experience)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters with discretion
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Comfort working across time zones and supporting employees at sea

Preferred

Previous experience in cruise ship operations, maritime HR, or fleet-based environments
Exposure to shipboard retail or hospitality operations
Experience working with multinational crews and cross-cultural teams
Familiarity with investigations and regulatory or compliance-driven environments
