Program Manager

Love INC of Newaygo County is seeking a Program Manager to oversee the Rooms of Refuge program. The role involves recruiting and supervising staff and volunteers, managing day-to-day operations, and developing relationships with church partners to support the program's mission.

Responsibilities

Recruit, train, and supervise Rooms of Refuge (ROR) staff and volunteers
Serve as the direct supervisor of the Case Managers, supporting their needs and reviewing their case work with guests
Lead weekly ROR staff meetings
Conduct intake interviews of potential ROR guests (reviewing program expectations and screening to determine if good fit for the program)
Review background checks on all ROR guests and volunteers
Approve and assist with exiting guests from the ROR program
Facilitate weekly “Family Meetings” with guests
Maintain timely and accurate records of all services provided in Cool Focus management system
Schedule staff and volunteer hours
Track and closely manage program expenses
Coordinate classes offered for guests at the Day Center
Manage the usage of laundry and shower facilities, meal preparation, computers, and common spaces
Coordinate transportation of guests and beds back forth between the Day Center and host sites
Report any safety, security, or facility concerns
Work with the Executive Director and Operations and Development Director to establish annual ROR budget
Oversee the measuring and reporting of program stats and outcomes
Implement ROR policies and procedures, reviewing regularly and revising as needed
Develop good working relationships with church leaders at the host locations and supporting churches
Maintain a master schedule of the host church rotation
Manage and obtain annual Commitment Contracts and MOUs from church partners
Communicate weekly with upcoming host sites, sharing the unique needs of each guest and arranging for any necessary adjustments to the plan
Share quarterly program updates with all ROR Church Coordinators
Facilitate in-person ROR Church Coordinator meetings at least twice a year
Oversee Rooms of Refuge trainings for volunteers at partner churches with the support of Love INC’s Community Resources Coordinator
Seek out and develop new host locations and partnerships for Rooms of Refuge within local churches as needed
Present about ROR at local churches and community groups, sharing the vision of the program and opportunities to be involved
Update Host Information Packets as needed with the support of Love INC’s Marketing and Communications Director
Develop open, friendly, collaborative relationship with staff, volunteers, public, community organizations, businesses, agencies, and churches
Collaborate closely with Love INC Gap Ministries (especially Hope 101 and Re-entry/RISE), as well as other Love INC departments (Connection Center, Food Pantry, Transformational Ministries, and Resale Store) to provide comprehensive and streamlined services
Participate in Love INC staff devotions/prayer and ministry functions when able
Attend annual overnight Staff Retreat
Participate in at least two professional development opportunities a year
Conduct ongoing research and learning of best practices for serving those with housing insecurities
