Responsibilities
Own assigned plaintiff PI matters from early discovery through resolution/trial
Build and execute discovery strategy: written discovery, subpoenas, deposition sequencing/scheduling, and case pacing
Take and defend depositions (parties, corporate designees, treating physicians, and experts)
Drive expert strategy: retention/management, disclosures, preparation, and challenges under Arizona Rule 702 / Daubert
Prepare matters as if they will be tried: trial themes, witness prep, motions in limine/evidentiary issues, and pretrial readiness
Participate in periodic in-office strategy meetings and collaborate with firm leadership on case direction and PI systems
Qualification
Required
Active Arizona Bar license; able to appear in Arizona state courts
3+ jury trials to verdict as lead counsel (not solely second-chair)
Proven experience with depositions, dispositive motions, and Rule 702/Daubert expert admissibility practice
Strong case ownership mindset and ability to drive a file independently
Ability to attend in-person Arizona proceedings as needed and attend periodic in-office meetings
Preferred
At least one jury trial to verdict within the last 5 years
Premises liability and/or TBI/neurocognitive damages experience
