QTEC Aerospace is seeking a SYSTEMS ENGINEER to join our team of professionals in Huntsville, AL. The successful candidate will function as an integral member of a multi-contractor team providing program, engineering, and technical support to Missile Defense programs.

Responsibilities

Perform Systems Engineering functions such as requirements decomposition and interface definition
Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies
Up to 10% travel between the program development sites (Colorado Springs and Schriever SFB)

Required

Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and at least 5 years of related experience; or a Master's Degree and at least 3 years of related experience; or a PhD with at least 1 year of experience
Strong prior experience with DOORS
Missile Defense Domain knowledge
Experience working in Hardware and Software integration
Must have a strong background in MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and the use of SysUML to describe behaviors of a complex DoD system
Capable of working both independently and within a small team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed
Self-motivated and customer-oriented
Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance

Preferred

Prior experience with Cameo
Experience with INCOSE Systems engineering
Security+ certification
Active DoD TOP SECRET level security clearance
