Responsibilities
Develops and executes a comprehensive revenue cycle strategy aligned with organizational goals and financial performance
Leads modernization initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across all revenue cycle functions
Establishes policies, protocols, and operational standards that influence net revenue, cash flow, and organizational efficiency
Oversees billing, collections, funding, and AR operations to maximize revenue and accelerate cash flow
Identifies process inefficiencies and leads implementation of solutions that enhance accuracy, compliance, and productivity
Monitors KPIs and financial metrics; leads corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluates and implements technology platforms, automation, and analytics tools to strengthen performance and visibility
Advances data reporting and analytics capabilities to support predictive insights and informed decision-making
Ensures adherence to healthcare regulations including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid billing standards, and payer guidelines
Strengthens internal controls, audit processes, and documentation to reduce risk and support transparency
Provides direction, mentorship, and performance leadership to the revenue cycle team
Oversees hiring, training, development, and succession planning to maintain a high-performing workforce
Fosters collaboration across finance, operations, clinical leadership, and other cross-functional teams
Manages third-party vendor relationships, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness
Serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, communicating performance trends, opportunities, and challenges
Ensures exceptional service to patients, providers, and internal partners involved in the revenue cycle
Builds processes that support accuracy, transparency, and a positive financial experience for all stakeholders
Qualification
Required
10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare revenue cycle management
Demonstrated success leading enterprise-level revenue cycle operations with accountability for complex, multi-state or multi-site environments
Proven ability to architect and execute large-scale transformation, including modernization of systems, processes, and organizational structures
Deep expertise across the full revenue cycle, including billing, collections, AR management, reimbursement methodologies, payer relations, and denial management
Strong track record of improving financial performance through cash acceleration, AR optimization, denial reduction, and operational efficiency
Experience leading high-performing teams at scale, including leadership development, succession planning, and organizational design
Hands-on experience implementing or optimizing RCM technology platforms, automation, and analytics tools to drive visibility and performance
Executive-level experience partnering with C-suite leaders, finance, operations, and clinical leadership to align revenue cycle strategy with organizational goals
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, payer rules, and compliance frameworks within healthcare revenue operations
Enterprise Leadership: Leads large, complex organizations with clarity, confidence, and strategic direction. Builds alignment across executive teams and influences decisions at the highest levels
Revenue Cycle Mastery: Deep command of end-to-end revenue cycle operations, including reimbursement methodologies, payer strategy, AR optimization, denial management, and cash acceleration
Strategic & Transformational Thinking: Designs and executes multi-year strategies that modernize systems, elevate performance, and position the organization for long-term growth
Operational Excellence: Expert at diagnosing operational gaps, redesigning workflows, and implementing scalable processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial outcomes
Financial Acumen: Understands the financial levers that drive EBITDA, cash flow, and net revenue. Skilled at interpreting complex data and translating insights into actionable strategies
Technology & Innovation: Experienced in selecting, implementing, and optimizing RCM platforms, automation tools, and analytics systems to enhance visibility and performance
Executive Communication & Influence: Communicates with clarity and authority. Able to distill complex issues into concise recommendations for C-suite and board-level audiences
Change Leadership: Leads organizations through transformation with steadiness and transparency. Builds buy-in, manages resistance, and sustains momentum
