LegalProfessional Services

Responsibilities

Own the company’s data strategy and roadmap, aligned to business priorities
Lead, mentor, and develop an existing team of data engineers
Build and evolve the data platform, including ingestion pipelines, data models, and analytics foundations
Define canonical data models, metrics, and shared business definitions
Establish standards for data quality, reliability, and monitoring
Partner with Product and Engineering to embed data into product and operational workflows
Enable analytics and reporting for stakeholders across the business
Define governance practices for data access, usage, and consistency
Identify and mitigate data-related risk as scale and complexity increase

Qualification

Required

8 or more years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles
Experience leading and developing data engineering teams
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL or ELT pipelines, and analytics systems
Proven ability to define metrics and shared data semantics in partnership with business stakeholders
Experience building reliable, scalable data systems in growing organizations
Ability to balance hands-on technical work with leadership and strategic thinking
Strong communication skills and comfort working across engineering, product, and business teams
Experience in regulated or data-sensitive environments is a plus
Strong communication skills—written and verbal
Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed

Preferred

Experience in a fast-growing or high-volume environment
Comfort with ambiguity and evolving systems
Experience in legal, professional services, or client-centric organizations
