Strategic Leader – Aon Benefit Experience

Aon is in the business of better decisions, and they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Leader to drive growth of the Aon Benefit Experience (BenX) solution. This role focuses on building and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities with large and mid-market employers, educating prospective clients on the BenX solution, and leading the sales process from initial engagement through to close.

Responsibilities

Build and manage a pipeline of future business opportunities with large employers
Develop and maintain relationships with Aon client relationship owners (AE’s, producers, ECL’s, etc.) and foster an interest and support of BenX among these internal colleagues
Develop and maintain relationships across the client buying center, including key decision-makers and influencers
Engage prospects with consultative insights related to the value of BenX
Lead the development and presentation of BenX strategy during client meetings, RFP responses, and finalist presentations
Collaborate with internal teams including Solution Consultants, Actuarial, and Account Executives to design and deliver optimal BenX solution for clients
Utilize market intelligence and analytics to inform sales strategy and client planning
Champion and adhere to a structured sales process, ensuring consistent forecasting and planning using internal tools and systems, including pipeline reporting
Manage client-level cost of sale and make recommendations for strategic investment decisions (e.g., performance guarantees)
Support team efforts in managing the portfolio of prospects and advancing opportunities

Required

Ten plus years of experience in insurance, consulting, or enterprise services
Proven track record of sales success in the large employer consultative sales health ecosystem
Deep understanding of active health care strategies; experience with exchanges is a plus
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to articulate solution differentiators and mechanics
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex deals
Executive presence and leadership capabilities, including the ability to build trust and rapport with c-suite
Ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and with external stakeholders
Understanding of health care fundamentals (funding, products, etc.)
Health care underwriting background or strong familiarity is a plus
Understanding of complex, long duration sales processes and multi-stakeholder decision making
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Results oriented - track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
Strong Industry reputation and network is a plus
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience
Current Life & Health license(s), or willingness to obtain
