Business Analyst - (Insurance Domain)
Dice is the leading career destination for tech experts at every stage of their careers. Our client, VDart, Inc., is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in the Insurance domain to analyze business processes and enhance efficiency across insurance operations.

Responsibilities
Analyze end-to-end insurance business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
Recommend process improvements and system enhancements aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements
Support initiatives related to policy administration, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer service systems
Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, use cases, process flows, and data mappings
Ensure requirements are clear, complete, testable, and aligned with business objectives
Act as a liaison between business users, product owners, developers, QA teams, and vendors
Support development teams throughout the SDLC to ensure accurate and timely implementation of requirements
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT support, and defect resolution activities
Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), process flow diagrams, user guides, and training materials
Ensure documentation complies with internal standards and regulatory guidelines relevant to the insurance industry
Qualification
Required
12+ years experience as a Business Analyst
5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the Insurance domain
Strong understanding of insurance operations, workflows, and regulatory considerations
Proven expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and functional documentation
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
LOMA certification with at least FLMI Level 1
Preferred
Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall project environments
Proficiency with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN tools)
Familiarity with business intelligence, reporting tools, and data analysis techniques
Experience supporting UAT and working with QA teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
