Responsibilities
Follow prescribed standards of CNC lathe operations and set-ups of established processes
Exhibit strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to meet set cycle times
Set up equipment to run production efficiently
Take an active role in organizing and improving current processes by suggesting Standard Work Instruction (SWI) changes
Proactively maintain established company policies and manufacturing strategies
Qualification
Required
Experience with lathe operation, CNC, machine set up, troubleshooting, and machine operation
High School Diploma or GED
CNC Machining Certificate or a minimum of 3 years as a Machine Shop Operator
Quality-conscious attitude and a sense of pride in designated responsibilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to accurately read blueprints
Proficiency with portable measuring devices used in production processes
Competence in reading and complying with work instructions, quality documents, and other written materials
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and mathematical formulas necessary for calculating product dimensions
Preferred
Knowledge and skills to pre-stage raw materials, perform setups, conduct tool changes, run products, and make tool offsets for proven processes
Possession of a reasonably complete set of personal tools to perform necessary tasks
