Responsibilities
Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals
Assemble valves and components onto compressors and evaporators using power and hand tools
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders
Conduct first article inspections and report any defects or issues
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem-solving
Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory
Be flexible to train across different areas and support other shifts as needed
Qualification
Required
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
Standing for the majority of the day
Basic computer skills
Ability to see the full spectrum of colors
Experience with power tools and hand tools for assembly
Preferred
No prior brazing experience required; candidates can be students from a welding or brazing program
Brazing experience is a plus, especially from plumbing or manufacturing
Blueprint reading ability from school or on-the-job experience
