Responsibilities
Drive the end-to-end purchasing process consisting of sourcing, quoting, placing, and tracking critical components for our production team
Partner closely with engineering, operations, and program teams to understand needs and identify purchasing solutions that serve the user
Balances a fast past ordering process with urgency and accuracy
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring quality, compliance, and value
Proactively identifies risks, resolve supply issues, and improve supply chain processes
Negotiate with key suppliers to obtain best value materials that support cost, schedule, and quality goals that directly impact mission success
Qualification
Required
Strong, clear interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers
Comfort discussing and negotiating pricing, timelines, and expectations with suppliers
High attention to detail and a strong sense of integrity
Knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations
At least 3-years experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (defense, aerospace, or manufacturing experience a plus)
Preferred
Experience in sourcing new, non-traditional, and emerging suppliers to solve complex or time-critical needs
Familiarity with Dynamics 365 or other ERP software
BA in business management or related field
