Responsibilities
Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge inspections in accordance with NBIS and AASHTO standards
Perform bridge inspections and create reports to present findings and recommendations
Assist in performing engineering calculations for bridge load ratings and repair designs
Support the Team Leader in field operations and safety compliance
Perform construction engineering services
Qualification
Required
2 to 5 years of experience in the inspection, evaluation, and load rating of vehicular bridges for various local, county, state, and federal clients
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly related to technical topics
Willing to travel up to 50% of the time, nationally
Physically capable of performing all field tasks, including climbing, carrying heavy equipment, etc
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges NHI-130055 Course
Certified rope access technician through the Society of Professional Rope Access Technicians (SPRAT) or interest in obtaining certification
Part 104 Drone License or interest in obtaining certification
