Accounting
Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
Perform variance analysis to explain discrepancies between periods and discuss fluctuations with the clients
Conduct financial reviews with clients
Maintain and oversee the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, fixed assets, and credit card transactions
Ensure proper classification of transactions in accordance with GAAP
Support the clients’ external audit processes by preparing required documentation and reports. (990 etc.)
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations
Assist with the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings as needed
Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Assist in implementing new accounting systems or updates to existing ones
Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional financial initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of progressive experience in accounting or a similar role, with advanced expertise in financial reporting and reconciliations
Proficiency in accounting software (Must have QuickBooks Online knowledge)
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., importing and exporting data from other platforms to Excel)
Familiarity with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to adapt to evolving accounting practices and business needs
