Unapplied Cash Analyst - Remote US

Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is a leading oncology research organization focused on advancing cancer treatments. The Unapplied Cash Analyst position is responsible for cash application functions, including reviewing and reconciling unapplied cash, and providing administrative support within the finance department.

Responsibilities

Review and reconcile unapplied cash
Work closely with sites to confirm visit activity
Enter charges into the clinical trial management system (CTMS) if/when needed
Application of receivables to Cash Receipts Log for all lines of business
Transactional line-item cash posting into proprietary systems based on remittance detail provided by pharmaceutical companies
Ensure accuracy of cash postings by contacting pharmaceutical companies to verify payment remittance details
Review, interpret and discuss remittances from payers for data accuracy

Required

High School Diploma obtained
1+ year work experience with basic financial operations including: debits/credits, reconciliation, invoice structures and payment lifecycles
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Understanding of how payments flow, how to match payments to invoices, and how unapplied cash affects financials
Ability to investigate discrepancies, interpret remittances, and resolve unidentified cash
Strong attention to detail, problem solving and clear communication skills

Preferred

Associate's Degree highly preferred
