Vice President of Access Services, CSD Access

Communication Service for the Deaf (CSD) is seeking a Vice President of Access Services to oversee and expand their Access Services division. This strategic leader will focus on driving growth and operational excellence in Sign Language and captioning services while building strong relationships with clients and partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to scale CSD Access Services, with a focus on new market share in VRI and captioning
Provide visionary leadership to ensure alignment with CSD’s mission and the long-term goals of the CSD Access division
Evaluate and implement VRI and captioning technologies to ensure top-tier service delivery and competitive edge
Serve as the primary driver of business development efforts for CSD Access Services
Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders to expand market presence
Partner with internal marketing and business development resources to design and implement outreach and promotional strategies
Lead, manage, and grow a large network of independent interpreting contractors to ensure CSD is the 'agency of choice'
Ensure effective scheduling, compliance, and quality standards for all interpreting services
Oversee operational systems to maintain efficiency and scalability as demand grows
Work closely with the Division President and other CSD Access leadership to align strategic priorities and initiatives
Partner cross-functionally with departments such as Marketing, Legal, and Finance to support service expansion and compliance
Represent CSD Access Services in external forums, conferences, and strategic partnerships
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in interpreting services, accessibility services, or related industries, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
5–10 years of experience in business development, with a proven record of driving service growth and expansion
5–10 years of experience leading and scaling high-performing teams, including independent contractor networks
Demonstrated expertise in managing and growing interpreting agencies, with deep understanding of VRI, captioning, and related technologies
Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that drive operational efficiency and revenue growth
Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders
Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and scalability
Well-connected within the interpreting, Deaf, and hard-of-hearing communities, with established industry relationships
Commitment to CSD's mission and values, with a passion for creating accessible, inclusive communication experiences
Ability to communicate in American Sign Language (Required)
