Responsibilities
Inspect parts according to blueprints and specified tolerances, primarily focusing on bearings and seals
Perform smaller assembly tasks of machined parts, ensuring quality and accuracy
Act as a floater, assisting with various tasks around the shop as needed
Conduct inspections on parts ranging from 1" ID to 36" OD, with lengths up to 12"
Work with materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, babbitt, and exotic metals
Potentially perform NDT inspections, primarily dye penetrant testing
Qualification
Required
3+ years of quality control experience in a machine shop environment
Proficiency in using measuring equipment such as micrometers and calipers
Experience in light assembly and blueprint reading
Strong skills in machine shop inspection, quality assurance, and mechanical assembly
Preferred
Experience with NDT, specifically dye penetrant testing
Extensive assembly and quality experience
Forklift experience is a plus
