Responsibilities
Oversee the full lifecycle of company vehicles, trailers, and equipment, including purchasing, upfitting, maintenance, repair, replacement, and disposal
Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life
Track fleet utilization, repair costs, warranties, and replacement cycles
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for repairs, inspections, and emergency support
Manage fuel programs, GPS/telematics, and fleet reporting tools
Partner with operations leadership to forecast fleet and equipment needs as the company grows
Manage company facilities, yards, and storage areas to ensure safety, organization, and efficiency
Oversee facility maintenance, repairs, utilities, and capital improvements
Maintain clean, professional yards that reflect the BWS brand and values
Coordinate seasonal transitions, including snow equipment staging and storage
Ensure compliance with DOT, DMV, OSHA, insurance, and company standards
Conduct regular inspections and audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities
Maintain accurate records for maintenance, inspections, and compliance
Support incident investigations and corrective action planning
Develop and manage fleet and facilities budgets
Track KPIs such as downtime, cost per unit, and maintenance spend
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or reliability
Partner with operations and branch leadership to support field teams
Be actively involved in snow and ice operations as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in fleet management, facilities management, or operational support
Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of preventative maintenance practices
Experience managing vendors, budgets, and maintenance programs
Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and vehicle compliance standards
Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in both office and field environments
Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
Valid driver's license required
Preferred
Experience in landscaping, construction, or service industry preferred
