Responsibilities
Perform brazing using a gas torch on copper materials with filler metals
Conduct assembly processes of valves and components onto compressors and evaporators
Use generic power tools, hand tools, and saws
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and shop orders
Conduct first‐article inspections and report any defects or issues (dimensional inspection, check‐to‐print)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate with team members across shifts and departments
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and problem‐solving
Use ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production and inventory
Be flexible — train across different areas and support other shifts as needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years brazing experience
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
Standing for long periods, majority of the day
Must be able to see the full spectrum of colors — cannot be colorblind
Experience with power tools and hand tools used for assembly
Must wear safety shoes; all other PPE is provided
Basic computer skills
