Technical Sales Manager

BORIN Manufacturing, Inc. is a global leader in cathodic protection and corrosion monitoring. They are seeking a high-caliber Technical Sales Manager who will lead complex sales cycles and act as a technical advisor to clients in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Water, and Infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

Drive Complex Sales Cycles: Lead the sales process for high-value infrastructure projects, navigating long lead times (6–12 months) and multiple stakeholders
Consultative Engineering: Act as a technical advisor to clients, helping them select the correct Remote Monitoring solution systems based on their needs
Strategic Account Management: Manage and grow a global portfolio of distributors and direct accounts in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Water, and Infrastructure sectors
Technical Evangelism: Conduct technical "Lunch & Learns" for engineering firms to ensure BORIN products are specified in the early design phases of major projects
Market Analysis: Translate field feedback into actionable data to help our R&D team steer the next generation of corrosion monitoring technology

Qualification

B2B Sales ExperienceTechnical LiteracyStrategic ProspectingNegotiationCuriosityIndependenceCommunication

Required

5+ years of B2B sales experience in a technical industry (e.g., industrial manufacturing, instrumentation, utilities, or aerospace)
Expertise in identifying and reaching 'Specifying Engineers'—the people who write the technical requirements for projects
Comfortable navigating complex contracts, international shipping logistics, and multi-layered procurement processes
Bachelor's degree
Aptitude and willingness to acquire an in-depth knowledge of our company's electronic and electrochemical products and services, and their application in the corrosion prevention industry
Ability to read technical specifications and customer requirements to discuss with our technical team
A natural desire to understand 'how things work'
The ability to manage a large territory with minimal supervision
Elite verbal and written skills; you can explain the benefits of our products to a field technician, an Engineer, or a CEO at one of our customers
The Technical Sales Manager is on the road 50% of the time, traveling to industry conferences, trade shows, and customer sites
