Project Engineer - Marine / Mechanical
Taube Family Of Companies is a small family-owned engineering and fabrication company specializing in custom fluid delivery systems for marine naval propulsion and industrial power systems. They are seeking a highly motivated entry to mid-level engineer with a passion for the marine industry to design and engineer fluid delivery systems while ensuring compliance with military requirements.

Responsibilities
Design, engineer, test, and commission fluid delivery systems applying engineering principles and military requirements
Create 3D modeling, 2d layouts, review, and interpret drawings in Solidworks
Assist with the development of new projects to ensure system requirements are achieved and functioning according to Precise specifications
Develop product specifications and test procedures, checking component to assure conformance or non-conformance with specifications
Assist field service and product managers with the installation, testing, commissioning, flushing of various fluid system equipment in the field (some travel required)
Work with engineering, fabricators, technicians, and shop floor personnel to complete build outs
Provide technical assistance and feedback to technicians and fabricators
Confer with engineering team and other personnel to implement operating procedures, write and update service manuals and bulletins, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information on field investigations
Perform quality audits of product being fabricated, including weld inspections, build inspections, etc
Maintain ASME and job specific quality control documentation
Qualification
Required
Must be a United States Citizen
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years of Mechanical / Marine Engineering experience in a related product-oriented business
Excellent CAD fundamentals, drawing and drafting skills
Excellent knowledge of engineering principles as it applies to fluid control and fluid delivery systems
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to identify complex problems, review related information, develop and evaluate options, and implement solutions
Excellent organizational, planning and follow up skills
Ability to design fluid delivery systems in Solid Works (use of pipe router tool)
Ability to work independently and effectively with others
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
Strong interpersonal and effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, and Outlook
Ability and willingness to travel - domestic and international up to approximately 10-20% of time
