Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end software engineering function, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, and operations across multiple product lines
Define and execute the engineering strategy aligned with business goals, product roadmaps, and long-term technical vision
Lead, mentor, and grow Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and senior engineers; build strong succession plans and a culture of accountability
Establish and evolve engineering best practices for SDLC, CI/CD, code quality, security, observability, and incident management
Partner with Product and Design leaders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and delivery plans
Drive cross-functional execution across Product, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Customer Success teams
Own delivery commitments, resource planning, and budget management for the engineering organization
Ensure platform reliability, performance, and scalability; lead post-incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Evaluate and adopt modern technologies, frameworks, and tooling to improve developer productivity and system resilience
Communicate technical strategy, risks, and progress clearly to executive and non-technical stakeholders
Qualification
Required
10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams and managers
Strong background in modern software architectures (cloud-native, microservices, APIs)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and production operations
Demonstrated ability to partner with Product and business leaders to deliver outcomes
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Experience scaling platforms in high-growth or enterprise environments
Background in regulated, security-sensitive, or high-availability systems
Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams
Familiarity with data-intensive systems and analytics platforms
