They are seeking an experienced Litigation Partner to lead their Public Entity and Tort Litigation defense practice, focusing on complex civil litigation, client relationship management, and team leadership.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Lead all phases of complex civil and public entity defense matters, from inception to resolution
Take and defend high-stakes depositions of parties, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses
Drive practice group growth by developing clients and cross-selling other practice areas
Oversee case strategy, matter budgeting, staffing, and quality control
Serve as primary relationship partner for institutional clients
Supervise, mentor, and develop associates and paralegals
Argue motions; serve as first or second-chair trial counsel
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Active admission to the California State Bar (required)
10+ years of civil defense litigation experience, including public entity, tort, or complex commercial matters
Established client-facing experience and ability to generate or expand business
Demonstrated success managing large caseloads and leading trial teams
Experience with cloud-based litigation, e-discovery, and modern billing platforms
Proven leadership, mentoring, and practice-building capability
