Responsibilities

Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; ensure legal requirements compliance
Develops system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries
Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries
Maintains historical records by filing documents
Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
Hold initial meetings with new clients to gather information necessary to begin work
Evaluate new client information, processes, and accounting practices and determine if/where processes need revision
Establish accounting interface for new clients in the QuickBooks system
Prepare and complete acquisition entries to establish the business in QuickBooks
Assure internal Top2Bottom administrative process is followed in the new client on-boarding process
Successfully transfer the on-boarded client to Account Managers within three months
Meet all End of Month accounting deadlines and ensure they are met for the Account Manager Team
Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions
Providing customer service excellence to small business owner clients
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Required

Efficient multitaskers that enjoys a fast paced environment
5-7 years accounting experience
Previous bookkeeping experience required
Proficient at researching issues and problem solving
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize in a deadline driven environment
Service minded and customer service focused
Self-starter able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Excellent data entry skills with high degree of accuracy
Outstanding attention to detail and thoroughness
Adept at analyzing Information and dealing with complexity
Able teach nonfinancial people accounting concepts
Experience in developing and enforcing standards
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and organizational structure
Strong working knowledge of Financial Statements, including Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet, and the ability to review with/explain to clients
Intermediate to advanced QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop user, Excel and Google Suite who enjoys learning new technology using to full functionality
Experience in working in a highly confidential environment
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, preferred
Experience in payroll filings, processing & tax agency interactions, preferred
Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas, preferred
Local hybrid remote candidates preferred in Charlotte North Carolina
