Responsibilities
Working with specifiers, contractors, distributors, and managing a network of rep agencies across NYC Market
Reviewing and understanding project requirements
Conducting lunch and learns
Attending trade shows
Driving sales through storytelling and building a narrative by demonstrating the why us vs. them
Collaborating with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers
Preparing and submitting proposals and bids
Staying updated on industry trends and advancements
Qualification
Required
This role is only open to US Citizens or Permanent Residents
Must have demonstrated recent experience growing sales for a $20 million plus revenue territory
Minimum of three years of experience as a regional sales manager working on commercial lighting sales
Experience working directly with owners, developers, architects and bringing in projects while managing agents and driving sales through distributors
Experience in cost estimating, budget analysis, and project management
Knowledge of lighting design, electrical systems, and relevant codes and standards
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and remotely
Must be willing to travel up to 30% and be able to work in a fast moving environment
Preferred
Relevant certification or degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field is a plus
