VP, Strategic Finance and FP&A
Hoxton Circle is collaborating with a private equity-backed CPG company to find a VP of Strategic Finance and FP&A to lead the finance team and drive business growth. This leadership role involves overseeing financial strategies, operational finance, and team development while working closely with the executive leadership and private equity sponsor.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth
Provide financial insights to optimize manufacturing operations, cost structures, and supply chain efficiencies. Partner cross functionally with sales and operations to drive margin improvement through pricing, demand modeling, costing, and productivity
Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management reports, and investor presentations in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning to support business objectives and PE sponsor expectations
Optimize cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures to enhance liquidity and fund growth initiatives
Support M&A due diligence, financial modeling, and integration of acquired businesses to drive inorganic growth
Strengthen financial controls, risk management frameworks, and compliance processes to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
Leverage financial systems and automation to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making capabilities
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
8 - 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a strong background in manufacturing, food & beverage, or CPG industries
Experience in a private equity-backed environment, with exposure to investor reporting and value creation strategies
Deep understanding of financial modeling, strategic finance, and operational finance within a manufacturing setting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights and drive data-driven decisions
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including executive teams, investors, and financial institutions
Hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
Preferred
Prior or current experience in Investment Banking or in Private Equity highly preferred - would take candidates who are on the deal teams in I-banking or PE and want to move in-house to become an operator
MBA or CPA preferred but not required
NetSuite experience preferred
