Responsibilities
Engineer customized configurations for IP networking equipment based on customer requirements
Develop and maintain enterprise IP addressing plans
Deploy planned configuration changes to support site or standards modifications
Maintain accurate network documentation and homing plans
Provide 2nd level support to IP service activation teams
Collaborate with IP Engineers to create and maintain configuration baselines of network equipment
Review and understand site drawings and network diagrams
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in design, development, and implementation of IP network configurations
Intermediate (CCNA) experience with IP, TDM, and Carrier Ethernet WAN access technologies
Demonstrated ability to engineer peering relationships using BGP, OSPF, and HSRP
Strong skill set with Microsoft Office applications and Visio
Excellent presentation, documentation, and technical writing skills
Ability to coordinate and facilitate projects, detail-oriented, and organized
Bachelor's Degree in Networking, Information Technology, or a related technical field with a minimum of 2 years related experience
Alternatively, 2 years post-secondary/Associate's degree and a minimum of 6 years prior related experience
CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred
Preferred
Automation scripting experience (e.g., Python)
Cisco networking certifications (CCNP)
Domain knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, EIGRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet protocols
