Responsibilities
Architect Complex Partnerships: Lead the financial evaluation and structuring of high-stakes partnership opportunities. You will bring structure and clarity to ambiguous deal concepts, defining the 'win-win' for Ford and its global partners
Billion-Dollar Modeling: Build and own the 'top 5%' financial models required to evaluate investment potential, NPV, and long-term ROI for initiatives with outcomes on the scale of billions of dollars
Strategic Decision Support: Provide the quantitative backbone for 'make vs. buy vs. partner' decisions, ensuring that Ford’s capital is deployed toward the highest-impact outcomes
Executive Storytelling: Distill complex deal structures and financial risks into clear, concise, and compelling narratives for Ford’s senior executive leadership and the Board of Directors
Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the bridge between technical teams (Engineering, Software), Legal, and Corporate Development to ensure partnership terms align with Ford’s long-term technical roadmap
First Principles Evaluation: Bring a rigorous 'first principles' mindset to solve challenges where no playbook exists—evaluating everything from battery supply chain ventures to software licensing and vehicle platform sharing
Continuous Optimization: Identify and take initiative in delivering continuous improvement across our financial processes, ensuring we move at the speed of a tech company while maintaining the rigors of a global OEM
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
6-10+ years of experience in Investment Banking, Management Consulting, or Private Equity. Operational finance experience at a fast-paced, scaling technology company is a significant plus
You are a 'Top 5%' Excel power user. You can build sophisticated, dynamic, and error-free operating models and P&Ls from scratch with speed and precision
A demonstrated ability to thrive in highly ambiguous environments, creating order out of chaos and defining the financial path forward for new-to-world initiatives
Exceptional presentation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders through data-driven storytelling
You take full responsibility for the accuracy of your work and are willing to 'get your hands dirty' in the data to ensure project success
Preferred
MBA
Direct experience in the EV, battery technology, or renewable energy sectors
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and SQL to complement your Excel mastery
A track record of leading high-performing teams and building a 'followership' throughout your career
