Human Resources Coordinator - ESPN World Wide of Sports Complex

The HR Administrator supports the Human Resources function within a fast-paced, event-driven food & beverage operation, focusing on recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

Assist with hourly and event-based recruitment including job postings, prescreening, interview coordination, and hiring events
Facilitate onboarding processes such as new-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, pre-employment tasks, and orientation scheduling
Maintain digital and physical personnel files in compliance with company standards
Ensure accurate and timely entry of employee data into HRIS systems
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal, state, and local labor laws, including meal/rest compliance, minor labor laws, and event staffing regulations
Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and policy updates
Assist with weekly payroll processes, including timecard review, edits, corrections, and event-driven hours tracking
Serve as liaison between HR, Scheduling, and Operations teams to ensure accurate roster updates for event days
Monitor attendance issues, call-outs, and timekeeping discrepancies and communicate with managers accordingly
Provide frontline HR support for employees regarding policies, benefits, and general inquiries
Help coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and event-day support activities
Document employee relations concerns, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain records of actions taken
Participate in event-day check-ins, employee credentialing, uniform coordination, and shift support as needed
Assist with large-volume staffing needs during peak seasons, playoffs, concerts, and special events
Assist in scheduling and tracking completion of mandatory trainings (food safety, alcohol service, compliance modules, etc.)
Maintain training records and communicate status updates to managers
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, memos, and other HR documentation as requested
Support HR projects, initiatives, and seasonal workforce plans

Required

1–3 years of HR administrative or coordinator experience, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage, or a high-volume/event-based operation
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and comfortable learning new systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-service mindset
