Mid LevelThe Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking an Adjunct Instructor for Volunteer State Community College to deliver quality instruction in Engineering, Mechatronics, and Autocad. The role includes teaching various courses and fulfilling administrative responsibilities such as submitting syllabi and final grades, while complying with college policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities
Teach courses via on ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced modalities as assigned
Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required
Submit class syllabus or update department syllabus at least 2 weeks prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract
Regularly check your VSCC email and your departmental mailbox
Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on the weekend
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar
Complete required College trainings
Complete all required reports such as attendance, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions and administer and return surveys by the required deadlines
Advise the Department Chair at the earliest possibility if you are unable to teach a class
Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and/or Dean
Comply with all of the College’s and TBR’s policies and guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Master's degree (minimum) from an accredited institution plus 18 graduate hours in Engineering for teaching in AS Degree Programs
Associates degree (minimum) plus work experience in the field for teaching in AAS Degree Programs
Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes
Preferred
Collegiate level teaching experience
Baccalaureate degree preferred
