Compliance Support Specialist - Technology Services - School Year 2025-2026

Spring Branch Independent School District is seeking a Compliance Support Specialist for Technology Services. This role involves providing clerical support related to technology compliance, safety, and documentation, while assisting the Compliance Officer with various tasks to ensure adherence to regulations and deadlines.

Responsibilities

Assist with Timekeeping / Absence Management
Assist with requisition entry, PO receiving, budget tracking
Assist with tracking contract and resource renewal and monthly payment schedules
Reviewing district phone bills
Building entry (vet visitors for safety/security)
Accept deliveries
Submit building maintenance requests
Assist with monitoring processes to insure the District meets E-rate program deadlines
Assist with documentation to meet E-rate timeline requirements
Assist with tracking/monitoring E-Rate billing information and reimbursements
Assist with keeping E-rate documentation updated and complete (must be able to meet audit requirements)
Assist with coordinating and preparing documentation for E-Rate audits
Assist in tracking disbursement payments
Assist with maintaining Category 2 hardware asset tracking registers
Assist with coordinating the approval process for new software and website resource requests
Assist with reviewing software purchasing requests for licensing compliance
Assist with tracking software licensing for installations
Assist with maintaining list of approved district digital resources
Assist with monitoring and maintaining an inventory of purchased digital resources
Assist with maintaining records of digital resource licenses
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and local board policy
Lifting up to 25 lbs
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent
Work habits include being reliable, flexible, and punctual
Ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines

Strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit to accommodate a high level of responsibility and multiple changing priorities
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication, public relations and interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain and organize data for completion of documents for government applications
Good working knowledge/experience using Microsoft Office products (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
Experience working with organizational budgets
Lifting up to 25 lbs
Maintain emotional control under stress
Work with frequent interruptions
This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public
Repetitive hand motions
Prolonged use of the computer
Ability to lift 25 lbs

Preferred

K-12 or public sector experience preferred
