They are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own the systems that make real financial decisions in production, working directly with the founding team.

Responsibilities

Build and own underwriting and risk decisioning models used in production
Analyze transaction-level financial data to identify key risk and performance signals
Design ML systems that adapt to changing cash flow and user behavior
Implement feedback loops that learn from real repayment outcomes
Partner closely with founders on product and risk decisions

Required

4+ years building and shipping ML systems in production
Strong data analysis skills with messy, real-world financial data
Experience deploying Python-based ML models
Ability to work independently with high ownership
Decision-oriented mindset (focus on outcomes, not just models)
Experience in risk, underwriting, or credit modeling
Fintech or transaction-level data exposure
Practical use of LLMs for classification or signal extraction
Python for ML model development and data analysis
Production ML deployment (risk scoring, thresholds, model iteration)
SQL / PostgreSQL for working with transactional data
Cloud environment (GCP or similar)
Backend integration with Node.js / TypeScript–based systems
