Collections Attorney

Responsibilities

Represent the Department of Revenue in collections and bankruptcy tax cases before the Tax Appeals Commission and in cases before other administrative agencies and the courts, and in Ch. 227 (Administrative Procedure and Review) proceedings
Provide legal advice and opinions on a variety of legal questions
Review proposed legislation and rules

Required

Graduated from an accredited law school
Possession of a license to practice law in the State of Wisconsin (WI); OR will be licensed to practice law in the state of WI prior to the appointment date, and describes this ability in the application materials (e.g., currently licensed to practice law in another state and have applied for license to practice in WI.)
Collections or bankruptcy litigation experience
