Dartmouth Health is seeking a dynamic physician to become the new Section Chief of Endocrinology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. The Section Chief will lead clinical and research operations, oversee a diverse group of physicians, and ensure high-quality patient care while also focusing on education and mentorship.

Responsibilities

Lead Endocrinology’s clinical and research operations
Lead a diverse group of physicians and advance practice providers to provide state-of-the-art patient care, to advance novel research, and to train the next generation of clinicians in endocrinology
Oversee a busy inpatient and outpatient service
Ensure the operational, educational and research missions of the Section of Endocrinology are aligned with the Department of Medicine, Dartmouth Health and the Geisel School of Medicine
Create a work environment of mutual respect and psychological safety
Serve as a physician role model of appropriate, expert, compassionate, and high value clinical care
Teach learners at all levels
Maintain respectful and inclusive relationships with interprofessional colleagues

Qualification

Board certification in EndocrinologyLeadership in academic medical centerExperience in clinical careResearch experienceTeachingInterprofessional collaborationCommitment to diversityMentoring

Required

Skilled endocrinologist with experience overseeing a busy inpatient and outpatient service
Familiar with the tripartite academic mission of clinical care, education, and research
Board certification in endocrinology is required
Current licensure (or ability to be licensed) in New Hampshire and Vermont
Will qualify for the rank of Associate or Full Professor at the Geisel School of Medicine
Have experience as a leader in an academic medical center
Will be board-certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by ABIM or AOBIM
Will be eligible for licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont
