Event Marketing Intern

Argyros Performing Arts Center is offering a marketing internship that provides a learning platform for promoting live concerts and events. The candidate will assist with various marketing activities, including digital marketing, social media content creation, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

Drafting email blasts for show announcements, ticket on-sale announcements, season announcements, ‘This week/this month at The Argyros’ emails
Updating Argyros homepage and community calendar with Argyros Presents events throughout our performance season
Updating local and regional community calendars with information on upcoming events
Distributing information for upcoming events to organizations with publications/event listings
Updating community calendar for rental clients on Argyros website as needed
Helping maintain organized social content calendar using Google Calendar
Uploading Argyros Presents events to Facebook throughout our performance season
Engage with our online community and build relationships by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
Share content from Argyros artists, partners, patrons and venue rental clients as appropriate
Assisting Marketing Director in supplying publications with print advertising materials (communicating with graphic designer to put together ads, managing deadlines, and getting ad mat to publications in a timely manner)
Maintaining updated distribution lists for print marketing materials (press list, community calendar list, poster distribution list, etc.)
Organizing digital monitor slides (for both Argyros Presents performances and venue rental clients) for three lobby monitors at The Argyros
Assisting in working with printers (both locally and online) to print season performance marketing (window clings, posters, lobby panels, performance programs, etc.)
Assisting Marketing Director in organizing approved artist assets from artist management teams in dropbox performance/season folders
Assisting Marketing Director in drafting and distributing press releases for events
Responsibilities will include other duties as required by the department

Required

1-2 years related work or internship experience
Familiarity with the Monday.com platform or willing to learn
A creative mind and the ability to generate engaging, interesting content consistent with The Argyros' brand identity and strategic goals
Familiarity with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube
Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Meta Business Manager (or willingness to learn)
Basic graphic design skills in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
Communication and organizational skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
