Responsibilities

Serve as an asset engineer and champion of INEOS’ 20 Principles of Process & Behavioral Safety and Life-Saving Rules, ensuring safe and compliant operations
Develop and maintain safe operating envelopes, including parameters, deviation consequences, corrective actions, and investigation of exceedances
Lead and participate in incident investigations, PHAs, LOPAs, MOC reviews, and PSSR evaluations to prevent reoccurrence and manage risk
Support styrene product lines through technical service and small capital projects, including scoping, prioritization, and execution
Create preliminary and detailed process designs, perform economic evaluations, provide start-up support, and complete post-audit documentation
Partner daily with Operations and Maintenance to troubleshoot, optimize performance, prepare for shutdowns, turnarounds, and start-ups
Coordinate with Planning, Business, Logistics, and Commercial teams to optimize production schedules, forecasts, and quality management
Influence asset integrity and regulatory compliance, providing technical input to sustaining projects and supporting environmental and Title V requirements

Required

Minimum of a B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering
Basic engineering knowledge and skills
Recent project demonstrating innovation ability
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental quality issues
Strong interpersonal, verbal, & written communication skills
Needs to be familiar with or show an aptitude to become familiar with chemical processes
Needs to be solution and results oriented
Detailed knowledge of process equipment a plus
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency with computer systems and business applications
Aligned with Site Safety Practices
Ability to build relationships
Leadership Skills a Plus
