Conduct outstanding independent research in the area of data science and artificial intelligence for materials design and innovation
Develop machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science methods to synthesize, process, characterize, and design new materials
Collaborate with other existing university-wide initiatives
Leverage the Materials Characterization and Processing facility and the Artificial Intelligence for Materials Design Laboratory
Qualification
Required
Applicants must hold an earned doctorate in an appropriate field by the time their appointment begins
Candidates must have demonstrated an ability to conduct outstanding independent research
Candidates must show promise for excellent teaching, mentoring, and entrepreneurship in all areas
