Responsibilities
Maintain a balanced till by accurately handling cash, debit, and other transactions while adhering to all compliance and security protocols
Suggest and curate the best products and sales recommendations tailored to individual customer needs and preferences
Drive sales growth by pushing the cart average up through effective upselling and cross-selling techniques
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all products in the store, including strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories, to provide informed guidance to customers
Keep the sales floor clean and well-stocked, ensuring displays are appealing and organized at all times
Maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, including counters, tools, and equipment, in compliance with health and safety standards
Build strong rapport with customers through friendly, engaging interactions to foster loyalty and repeat business
Promote and sell memberships, loyalty programs, and rewards sign-ups to enhance customer retention and value
Identify and create opportunities for cross-selling and upselling complementary products to maximize each transaction
Qualification
Required
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, effects, and consumption methods; must be able to pass a product knowledge assessment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a background check
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions
Commitment to maintaining a professional, compliant, and positive work environment
Preferred
Previous experience in retail, customer service, or the cannabis industry preferred (budtender experience is a plus)
